Our History

Yves Steverlynck, formally of South Africa, brought with himself a rich heritage in textile manufacturing.

With humble beginnings, he established his factory in Bayswater, Victoria. With his son Francois, they laid the foundations of not only a flourishing business but also for a network of clients all over Australia, often driving thousands of kilometres to reach them. Their hard work paid off and today Crusader Hose is a well-known and respected Australian manufacturer of high-quality layflat hose.

Francois Steverlynck, who started his career as a foundry manager then later in sales, has been Managing Director for the past 28 years and has led the company from strength to strength. With an ingrained focus on continuous improvement, Francois has grown the business to what it is today.
