Swaging is now available by Crusader Hose

Swaging is not only a safe and secure attachment method for hydraulic hose, but a popular and cost-effective one for many of our high-pressure layflat hose. Our recent investment in machinery has given Crusader Hose the capability to swage couplings in-house. Swaging is available for hose diameters from 1” to 8” and is ideal for layflat hose.

Wire whipping-a technical and skilled method

Wire whipping is a mechanical hose-binding technique. Incorporating high-quality steel wire, the hose-binding machine maintains consistent wire tension as it wraps around the hose, securing the fitting. Wire whipping is not only secure but light-weight and gives the option of cutback and refitting the coupling if necessary.

Although it is strongly recommended that hose and fittings are assembled by the same manufacturer, we do fit customer supplied couplings. In these instances, testing the full assembly is a requirement. Testing certificates will be issued. Certification fees apply.
